Analog to Digital transfers now available on Mini-DV, Digital
8 tape and DVD formats
TLCBS has added new equipment to enable high quality transfer
of analog videotape to digital formats. The new gear facilitates getting heritage
professional formats like 1" reel, Betacam, 3/4" cassette and consumer
VHS, 8mm and Hi-8mm material into digital form for editing or duplication. Digital
8 and Mini-DV tapes can also be accomodated. Output can be to DV, Digital8,
DVCAM or other professional tape formats. DVD's can also be prepared. Ask about

Nationally famed gardening expert, writer, television host
uses TLCBS to update demo
Reknowned gardening author Maureen Gilmer was saying, "Right
ON!" watching the composit tape TLCBS edited for her in April, 2002. Adding
music, bouncing titles and a consistent graphic scheme, Langdell stitched together
an earlier demo tape another editor had done with a segment from a KOVR, 13,
Stockton-Sacramento noon newscast featuring the Dobbins author and tv show host.
Langdell carried the graphic scheme to the labels, where a unique typeface proclaims
that "Maureen Gilmer is moplants.com". The new digitally assembled
product will preserve quality for Gilmer, and allow copies to be quickly made.
Nevada City landmark burns: TLCBS has first news video, which
is sold to regional stations, national networks
When smoke was first smelled in downtown Nevada City, Ted Langdell
was listening to Nevada County Sheriff's Deputies as they tracked the source,
and then reported flames coming out of the Commercial Street side of the old
Elk's Building. The historic downtown was in jepoardy as Langdell raced to the
gold-rush community. As dawn broke, Langdell was shooting video that captured
the brilliant orange flames against the deep blue of the early morning sky.
Yuba City uses TLCBS to craft video explanations of "Mommy,
Where Does the Water Come From?", and "Daddy, Where Does the Water
Go?"
Now in production, the two video tapes feature live action with
adults and kids along with technical animation to show how the City cleans and
treats drinking water for more than 30,000 residents and business users, and
how the City processes wastewater to better than legally requires standards.

Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corp. presents Year in Review via productions by TLCBS
To report on Yuba-Sutter's economic developments in 2000, the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corp. turned to Ted Langdell. TLCBS produced a seven-minute all-digital production, then helped present it at the YSEDC's annual meeting.
